The first Build for Unity build day kicked off on Saturday, February 1st. Violet Oh of KACC (the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County) started off the morning by generously providing coffee and breakfast to all our amazing volunteers and crew members.
Our four Build for Unity coalition members worked alongside BrandedGroup volunteers on Phase II of our Fullerton Development. Volunteers spent a better part of the day painting slats of wood for the exterior of the homes. Crew members worked on ensuring the frames and roofs of the homes were stable. Walls are, for the most part, already set in but there is still work to be done on the rooftops.
Mohammed Raghib of the Islamic Center of Fullerton coordinated for Iqbal Molvi to bring a delicious lunch of burgers and fries to the build site.
